Verify CV5 Capital Communications

Criminals impersonate fund platforms, fund managers and service providers to divert payments and steal digital assets. This page sets out how CV5 Capital communicates and how to confirm that a message is genuine.

CV5 Capital never receives subscription money into its own account. Subscriptions are paid only to the bank account designated for the relevant segregated portfolio, on the instructions of the fund administrator. Any request to pay subscription money to CV5 Capital, or to any other party, is not genuine.

What CV5 Capital will never do

Paying money to a fund

Subscription and redemption instructions come from the fund administrator, in line with the fund's offering documents. If an instruction differs in any way from the one you received at onboarding, stop. Confirm it with the fund administrator using contact details you already hold, not details given in the message you received.

Report a suspected impersonation

If you receive a message that claims to come from CV5 Capital and you are not certain it is genuine, do not reply, click links or open attachments. Forward it, with its full email headers, to compliance@cv5capital.io, and report it to your local authorities.

Platform structure

How the platform is structured

Each fund launched on the platform is a Sub-Fund: a segregated portfolio within CV5 SPC or CV5 Digital SPC. Switch between the two platforms, then view the legal structure, who is responsible for what, or how a subscription moves through a Sub-Fund. Select any box for its role.

Legal structure. CV5 SPC and CV5 Digital SPC are Cayman Islands segregated portfolio companies registered with CIMA. Each Sub-Fund is a segregated portfolio with its own mandate, terms and investment manager, and its assets and liabilities are segregated by statute from those of every other Sub-Fund.

Responsibilities. The board, which includes independent directors, oversees the company and each Sub-Fund. The investment manager appointed to each Sub-Fund makes its investment decisions. CV5 Capital provides platform and company management and makes no investment decisions. The administrator, auditor, bank and custodians are independent service providers.

Subscriptions. Investors subscribe for shares of a specific Sub-Fund. On CV5 Digital SPC, a Sub-Fund may accept subscriptions in fiat currency to its bank account, in designated currencies such as USD, EUR, CHF, JPY, GBP and AED, or in stablecoins such as USDC and USDT to its wallet, as its offering documents provide.
